It makes me so mad when people say Walt Disney was a racist. He was one of the most inspirational people to ever live, and worked to create happiness. His original sketches were of animals of no race, and the more modern films had characters of every ethnicity.
Some people argue that the voices of his characters show hints of racism, but I disagree. In none of his movies does he say that one character is inferior to another, and all of the voices are for dramatic effect.
This whole thing just needs to stop.

The man was a racist a proud racist in fact. Every bloody cartoon has parodied his that racist man. He was a fucking Nazi sypathisers. The simspons had a episode about Itchy and Scratchy that talked about the creator and how he had a cartoon entitled “Nazi supermen are our superior” obviously parodying Walter Disney.
watch some documentaries of people who worked with him. One woman had to hide the fact that she was jewish whilst working at the studios. He told a indian man visiting to get the fuck out as well as some other choice words he was a fucking racist.
I was 10 years old when I learned of this 10, in year 5 back in 2002 in school having a class discussion with the teacher about racist Disney. You are over 12.9 years old and can’t accept that?
I grew up in an animation household - my grandfather was an animator as well. And Walt Disney was a *hugely* racist jerk, to the point where even my own liberal racist grandfather would talk shit about just how bad it was.
So, OP, you can get ~as mad as you want~, but it doesn’t change the fact that Walt Disney was one hell of a racist ass, and that Disney still has problematic racism in their work to this day.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so I respect everyones views. But can I just say, that I acknowledged that most of these princesses were created after Walts death. I just brought up his original cartoons and the direction the Disney corporation took after his death. No need to get mad at me!

The controversy about Walt Disney being a racist wasn’t well known until Family Guy and The Simpsons made episodes about him, but you should all know they are not reliable. Those shows are the most racist things ever.
Making black jokes in the 1950s is not the same as making black jokes in 2012. People need to remember that we are a product of our time, and 60 years ago it was socially acceptable to have crows representing dumb black people. Also, if you’re going to say he was actually a horrible person, please have sources that aren’t Family Guy and The Simpsons. Those are satirical works and do not have to have actual, you know, accuracy. The man was a visionary, and the works that came out under his time are brilliant, even if they can be dated by their humor.
